Officers:
President, Jonathan Mott- Jonathan Mott ’14 is a Junior Music major, minoring in General Education. Jonathan has been performing and leading in madrigal-singing ensembles for five years and is known to murmur about Palestrina in his sleep. Jonathan has a sincere passion for studying and performing choral music and will often reference Eric Whitacre in his day-to-day conversations. When not adding unwanted dissonance to songs of all types, Jonathan enjoys playing tennis, biking, tossing the disc and singing with the University Chorale. Because he is not endowed with a single penny of the Mott’s Applesauce fortune, Jonathan is working for the second year in a row as a Resident Assistant in Keyes Hall, giving him the highly sought after privilege of spending both his Sophomore and Junior years abroad…
Administrative Chair, Michael Lim- Michael Lim came to Boston College looking for a one-of-a-kind experience, and he found exactly that in the Madrigal Singers of Boston College. Since then, he has spent three years with the Madrigals and will be serving as Vice-President for his fourth and final year. As a biochemistry and philosophy major, Michael’s eclectic interests have led him to be known as somewhat of a Renaissance man, a title not unfitting in this particular instance. When not belting out bass lines for a motet, Michael enjoys drinking coffee and reading philosophy.
Treasurer, Ashley Tran- Ever since Ashley was a young lass, she had had a passion for antiquated music. One day, while pressing a print for Wolfy (she and Mozart were on a nickname basis), she had a revolutionary thought, “What if money were paper?” Thus, paper money was born–and Ashley became the Treasurer of the Madrigal singers.
